Guys im getting some mixed answers and was wondering if someone with expierence can iron them out for me. I would like to get the most out of my 12" 9500's while using a MTX TA92001 amp. Someone told me i could actually use 8 guage power wire and that would power it more efficiently than normal speaker wire? Is this true? Thanks!!

Try this calculator and look at the very small difference in delivered db in different speaker wire gauge sizes:

use 8 gauge at least going from the amp to the sub.
