Is this a worthwhile thing to do? Part of me says it will improve and at least cut down road noise coming from underneath the car. A more rational part says it is a waste of money.

yea itll cut down the noise but this stuf gets kinda expensive so if your plannin on keepin the cr for a while then yea go for it . start doing the door panals and the trunck and if it still sounds bad then do the trunk and floor . its alof of work you have to take out all the seats all the carpet all the door panals.
