i have a mono kenwood amp running 2 kenwood 12s. i currently have it wired so that a postive speaker wire going from the amp to one sub, then another wire goin from the positive terminal of the box to the other sub, then another wire going from the 2nd sub to the other positive terminal of the amp. And i have the same with the negatives, from the amp, to the first sub, then to the second sub negative, then to the second terminal of the amp. but want to get more of a bump from them and i want to know how to bridge it to one channel, and how to wire each sub from the amp to drop the resistance. all ideas welcomed

First off we need the model numbers from both the subs and amp to figure out the correct wiring and power ratings

the subs are 12inch , 700 max 175 watts rms and the amp is230 watts at 2 ohms and 150 at 4

How many ohms are the subs and are they DVC?

4 ohm subs and single voice coil

What is the model # on your amp need to make sure bridging it with a 2 ohm load will work. But assuming it dose the amp should have a diagram near the connection terminals which will tell you what connections to bridge it to.
The diagram should look something like this

                                                  +   -   +   -
                                                  I_______I
                                                    Bridged

So in this diagram you would hook up your + wire to the outside + terminal(left) and the – wire to the – outside terminal(right). This will give you a bridged 1 channel @ 2 ohms WARNING: unless your amp is stable at 1 ohm do not run this bridged configuration.
