my question was could anybody advice me on a suitable sub.i spoke to one car audio shop and they recommended the Kicker L7 15" sub dropped down to 1ohm, what do you guys think.

every help and advice is welcomed.

What do you want from your setup?  SQ or SPL?

That's my opinion. Take it, leave it, or correct me.

What space do you have available as well. The difference in a system designed to sound good or go loud is totally different. If you are in this strictly to be a one note wonder at a contest, it is a totally different approach that is needed as compared to you wanting to be able to listen to your music on a daily basis at a respectable (or even above average) sustained listening level.
