Ok, so today when i was driving down the road, my sereo randomly turned off, the came on for a split second then off again like 3 times before it was just dead. I checked all the fuses, they are all fine. But when i went out to my car a while later to start it, it came on normaly. SO i am curious as to what would cause this. The car is a Jvc, less than a year old and has been no where but in its posistion in my dash
Could be loose connections or a heat-related failure of the head unit.

On my HU i had to solder a couple wires 'cause i had the same problem. Where the wire goes into the plastic connector (the one that clips into the HU) was loose since it would get tugged on a little everytime i installed/uninstalled (same deck in 3 vehicles) so i heated up a blob of solder on the gun and solidified the connection...no more problem, but it might make a bit of mess on the back if your not careful with the soldering iron.
The car is a JVC?

Haha, I would check the connections to ensure that they are solid, sounds like a loose ground or power / ignition line. Was the display also going on and off, or just the audio. If it was audio only, then you may have a bad speaker or speaker wire grounding out.

Top Secret, I can tell you but then my wife will kill me.
OK well i just found out today when i went to start my car that my altenator was bad. WOuld this lack of proper power make my stereo randomly turn off like that?
If it's not getting enough voltage it would.
