wiring two subs

alright well heres what i got goin..ive got thhem wired up in parrallel and i just kinda connected the two subs and wired them strait to the amp.. should i of wired them differantly? becasue sometiems it seems liek my amp overheats.. then the bass just kinda cuts out when i turn it up to loud.. then ill turn it back down then back up and itll be ok for a bit.. then itll cut out again.. should i do soemthin differant?

how should i have them wired so it sounds the best and hits the hardest

Kind of a rough first post there...but you'll get the hang of it.  Use your right click on the address url and copy.  Paste it on the reply box so that it shows up as a link.

Your amp is going into protect mode because of too low of an impedance, would be my guess.  But then, the amp's gain may be set all out of whack, too.  Here's a test:  disconnect one of the subs entirely.  The impedance will double.  See if the amp does the same thing.  If so, the gain is set too high.

no well i mean ive got all that stuff set right.. i just think ive got the wiring wrong from the subs to the amp maybe? is there somethin ive got to do differantly like brigde or ..what even is bridging? is it possible to bridge with a 1 channel amp?
