Hello everyone,
I am going to be doing a basic install (headunit and speakers) in my bosses '00 Chrysler 300M. It has a 6 speaker system from the factory, and I have not yet had to do an install to replace 6 speakers. I was wondering from what the standard approach is for an install like this and what is the most cost effective as my boss is not looking to spend a ton of money. I do not know off whether the factory headunit has 6 speaker outs or if Chrysler used and external amplifier for the stereo, I was hoping some of the proffesional installers might know. Thanks!
~Derek
on chrysler 300m's it depends on what kind of sound system option was put in the car, but to simply answer your question chrysler uses and external amp to run the speakers, and when they say 6 speakers they probably mean that there is a set of components in the front meaning a mid driver and a tweeter, there is 4 speakers, then there are 2 coaxils in the back seats
if you want to replace the hoel system then youll need to get a deck thast has 4 outputs wich every deck does then you buy a componet set for the front wich includes the driver the cross over and tweeters then in the back youll need to get 2 speakers in tghe back i think there 6x9's in the rear.
