a big 10-4. and what do you need to calculate about a pre-fab anyway? if it plays it plays, not much you can do to edit the sound.

And your question is...?

Both enclosures above are 4th order bandpass systems.  They would perform differently due to driver displacement issues unless the chamber volumes were adjusted accordingly.

considering the space taken up, the size of the woofers, and the setup they have going, I'm betting that it is one of two types:

1) (the most likely one) It is a basic type two (or second order) sealed box with the woofer facing out to shrink the box down some more. -or-

2) It is a type four (forth order - another sealed box) Passive Radiator setup with the cone underneath it acting as a tone diaphragm to give it a smoother bass tone and to shrink the box a lot. This setup allows a really small box to be used for this kind of design as well.

That is... unless those darker blue circles are ports... In which case it is a basic Bass Reflex ported box with a clever design for finding enough space for it. They don't look like ports to me though... they sit on the surface of the box(s) and look pretty solid.

those blue point it's only to see where the mdf goes. to be a port for a ten inches in most cases is 2-3 in, and higer for 12 or 15inches

Stacks of prefab, preloaded boxes with fake port holes.  And you have to mount the thing to seal the bottom, because it looks like there ain't no bottom.  The top box in question has an inverted driver.  The box material appears to be flimsy because it looks pretty thin.  Stay away from these and save your money for something better.

Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.

Now would be a good time to explain what 4th order means. I dont have a good definition.
