Anyone know if all EBC's with the same type of plug, ie telephone jack style, are interchangable? I have an MTX amp and can find Kicker EBC's, but not MTX. The plug looks the same so I am wondering if it would work.

Thanks!

Dave

Have a look at the wiring in the actual plugs, the order of the colored wires have to match that of the MTX order, you may have to contact a tech to find the specific order(1-800-call-mtx). As I recall the Kicker plugs are "flipped" in comparison to the MTX plugs.

If I'm not mistaken, MTX's EGC's have an input to more of the likes of a headphone jack.

And I also wonder, what series did you get from MTX? I have their TA's and they both came with one in the box.

The older models, like my thunder for example use the phone jack style port. However the newer models use the 3.5mm jack, like you have mentioned.

Yeah, it is also a Thunder. I can't find the EBC online even. Ebay has a few of the Kickers, which is why I asked. If you know an online seller that can help me out, I would try that as well.

Thanks!

Dave
