I've heard both of them are pretty good, but notice how much cheaper the Kickers are (even though 50wrms lower). Some say the PRs are alot louder, even if slightly underpowered. Which should I get? (I'll be getting 2)

there both good subs for the money. im pretty sure the comp cvr subs are 400 watts rms and the PR's are either 250 or 200. I owned 4 12in PR's sealed with a jbl 1200.1 and my friend has 4 12in cvr's in a ported box with a hifonics 1605D and my setup was quite a bit louder.

Never heard the PRs.Keep this in mind it all matters on the install job. And hifonics amps aren't the best. And the guy with 4 kicker probally had some cancellation. And what kind of vechiles are these subs in.  I would get a L7 if i were you. Soniceletronics.com there like 160 a peice. good deal got two of mine from there and i still love them.

i agree, the hifonics amp is not nearly makin 1600 watts. My 4 12's was in a wall in my dodge dakota ext. cab and my freind has a silverado ext. cab

I have one CVR 15 in a ported box running off a JBL 600.1. Its insanely loud, rattles every panel on my car. A friend of mine has 2 12" cvrs sealed. its pretty loud, but not as loud as mine. I would suggest going with either 1 cvr 15" ported or 2 12" cvrs ported.

kickers are good but there power hungry. but with memphis  there not only reliable but cheap and there underpowered. i think the pr's are 250 rms 500 peak. id go with memphis. just build the box to the subs specs

My cvr 15" is in a ported box tuned to around 30hz, not exactly a sq setup. But i listen to rap rock and techno on it and i think it sounds great with everything. The 2 12" cvrs my friend has have better sq (they are in a sealed box). He has them running off a SPL 1200W (max)amp. Not exactly the best amp ever, but it still gets plenty loud.

If you get Kicker, run them ported, sound AMAZING!  Well, for loud anyway, you want sq, run them sealed!
