I have a Pioneer DEH-9600 install in my Chevy Tahoe. I had a CD stuck in the unit so I removed it from the truck, took out the CD and reinstalled the unit in the truck. Now I have a lot of engine noise coming through my speakers. Can someone tell me how this happened? I checked all of the wires to see if there were touching somethign in my dash but I don't see anything like that. The unit was working great before I removed it.

how did you get the cd out of the unit? you may have damaged the board.

I took the cover off and used a pop sickle stick with duct tape on the end to pull the cd out. I was nowhere near the board when I did this.

Check your ground and make sure that nothing has come loose in the uninstall reinstall procedure.

I am very new to this but the only ground that I see is in the back near my amp. nothing in that area has been touched.

there is a black wire in the harness in the dash that connects to the back of your deck, make sure that wire is still connected to the factory ground in the dash as well

I checked the ground wire (black) and it seems to be fine. It runs down the drivers mat and is screwed into the dody of the truck. I think I will take it in for service, the noise is very annoying.
