i have an alpine cda-8911 and all of a sudden its stopped sending sound to my door+ rear deck speakers, but my sub is still getting signal. its in a 93 ford tempo. anyone have any ideas?

try checking the ohms of each speaker. if they are factory original speakers one maybe shorted out causing the alpine to shut down. if they are aftermarket speakers and recently put in one wire maybe grounded out but a meter should tell u everything u need to know behind the radio

i think i found the problem, when i sent the unit out for warrenty work( unit would not eject cds), it came back and had a problem that sounded like a speaker shorting, except that it was to all of the speakers. it didnt affect my sub out and this morning i took a look and figured there must be a loose conncetion inside the h.u itself
