can i hook up 1=dual 2ohm voice coils L7's to a 2 channel amp? it would run the amp at 2 ohms stereo right? the amp can do 2ohms stereo but i am not sure it is safe to run one coil on each channel. i have 2 12" L7's and have been running them on a mono class d sub amp at an combination series parallel for a 2 ohm load.but want to switch to 2 amps= 1 amp per1 sub. just dont want to blow my subs or fry my amps! thanks

well i cant tell you much because ive never hooked up a voice coil to each channel, but it can be done. as long as the amp can run 2 ohms stable on each channel, you should have no problem.

Wire the sub in series to make it a single 4 ohm load, connect it to the bridged outputs of the 2 channel amp.

so i cant hook a coil to each channel? the reason is it makes more power at 2 ohms stereo than at 4 ohms bridged! and the amp will not do 2 ohms bridged it will but they overheat where i have to mount them if they are bridged 2ohms, but stereo  2 ohms they run cool

No the amp will not make more power at 2 ohm stereo as compared to 4 ohm bridged. 2 ohm stereo and 4 ohm bridged are for the most part the exact same thing. The amp will not do 2 ohm bridged as that is also 1 ohm stereo (which it will not do either). Here is how to wire the sub.

Option 2 (series) = 4 ohm load
Voice coils wired in series
Recommended Amplifier: Stable at 4, 2, or 1 ohm mono

Yes and no. Yes it can be done provided you also take into account any degree of difference between the channels, the crossovers, the input voltage etc. This is why it is best to run the amp in bridged mode. In bridged mode, all of the concerns are all taken care of to enable you to play the driver safely. Myself, I would not wire a dual 2 ohm sub in stereo to a 2 channel amp.
