Simple answer:  don't wire up any more than four speakers to your head unit.  Your deck has preouts, which means that you can connect an amplifier.  If you wanted to do some upgrades, that's how you should start.

Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.

A center channel is useless any way if your radio isn't rdy for or has an add in for  5.1.

A center channel would be alright if you use a bandpass x-over... (vocals only)

You need a dedicated center channel crossover, or a 5.1 decoder, and dedicated amps for the front channels and the center channel.  Several companies make these, the best ones I've ever heard are from Alipne.

to get the 5.1 sound may run a few bucks but if you do dyohn is right alpine makes some reall nice high end stuff but unless you are watching movies a center channel doesnt really do much for music that is generally recorded in nothing more than stereo
