I have just put a dvd/cd/radio in my 2000 toyota celica. It has a factory installed amp. I now have engine noise when the radio is playing and a loud hiss while the dvd is playing and the volume contol goes from loud to real loud. No real control. Can anyone help??

Did you remember to remove or bypass the factory amp?

The problem you've described is cause by running too strong a signal (speaker level) into the factory amp.  You can use an integration harness (check your other topic), or rewire (bypass) as suggested above.
