i have an audiobahn a4004t amp (400 wts) and i just bought phoenix gold speakers 6by9(140 wts) and 6.5s(120 wts component) tht equal to 260 watts peak power and ive herd tht audiobahn lies about wattage so my question is if i should wire up the speakers now and risk blown em or wait till i buy a new  amp and which amp uld recommend, would like to keep it PG but dont have to. thnks

You won't blow anything by hooking up what you have.  Just make sure you set the gains properly. (run a search here to find several threads describing this if you don't know how to do it.)

In my opinion anything made by Phoenix Gold is superior to anything made by Audiobahn, but if you already have the amp hook it up, set it up correctly, and if you like it why not stick with it?
