can someone tell me how to figure out what size fuse i should be using i have a 1500 watt hifonics brutus amp 0 gauge wire and it is run into a 10 farad cap and out of the cap are 2 4 gauge wires, so what size fuses/ circuit breakers should i be using?

Your manual should say what rating fuse is recommended. ------------- My ex once told me I have a perfect face for radio.

no im not talking about the fuses that go into the amp, im talking about the ones in the distributer block

This link should help, https://www.bcae1.com/ It has a power deisgn assistant. From the main page use the menu on the right and go to #16 (wire) scrool down, or better yet read down untill u get to the System power design assistant, read directions and have fun. hope this is what u were lookin for.

300 amp fuse at the battery, and 2 150 amp fuses in the distro block. Those fuses protect the wires, and the fuse on your amp obviously protects the amp.
