Hi folks, new to site...

We replaced the CD Player in my wifes 2003 Durango with
a navigation system, leaving me with a 6CD Changer/Tuner
lying around in a box.

I just bought a 2006 Mustang, with the basic Single CD
Sterio.

I'm wonering about the interchange capability between the
vehicles. I can't find a manufacture's name on the
player, but it's Chrysler part number P05064010AC. It has
two connectors on the back side by side. One 22 pin, and
one 10 pin. I've done lots of wiring in older vehicles,
but have never taken anything apart that was built in
this century, so I have no idea if this is a standard
plug interface.

Any ideas ?

If you're just trying to put the Chrysler deck in the Mustang, you'll need to get two harnesses available from Metra, the 71-6502-1(plugs into the factory Chrysler radio), and the 70-5520 or 21(depending on whether the Mustang has a factory amp or not).  Pull the radio in the Mustang and then look in you stereo shop's Metra book to see which harness you'll need.  Wire the two harnesses together.  Mounting and fabricating a trim piece will be up to you.

Wow, that's a pretty specific response.. Thanks !

I tried MetroOnline's website, but had trouble.
I'll try it tonight from an evil Microsift browser.

I wouldn't expect the low end Sterio System to
have an external amp... ??
