Put an after market deck into this car. It's getting power but doesn't power up. No sound no power. Tried a different unit and still nothing. It's not a bose system, could their be a seperate amp.

Have the car in here now. When we hook up power and only power the radio won't turn on. We tried serching for a factory amp and can't find anything. In the fuse box in the trunk there is a spot for a fuse for a amp but no metal prongs going into it. Would this mean there is no factory amp in there.

There is no factory amp given what you have said. Have you checked your ignintion and ground. You said its getting power, how did you come to that conclusion. You should be using a test meter or a test light and check for igniton and can also use it to test your ground. Please post your findings and we can go from there

I used a multi meter. I ran new ground, switch, and constant. And everything worked out ok. It was almost like there wasn't enough current to power the after market deck, even though it was only a kenwood entry level.
