This problem has me completely confused...
My car was involved in a minor accident, but it was enough to keep me from driving it. I pulled my entire system except for my HU. I got the car put back together and running, so I threw my stuff back in today. I never disconnected the battery, just pulled my fuse on my amp power line. I have an Alpine CDA-9847 powering my 4 speakers, and a PA LT980/2 powering my two twelves. The only signal that's being produced is from the subwoofers. None of my speakers are producing even static. If I connect a multimeter to the speaker wires at the speakers, I should be getting some voltage, right? If so, I'm not...According to Ohms Law, I should be getting somehwere between 8.5 and 13.something volts (18W RMS/45W Peak).

Look at two things. First check your speaker leads and make sure none is shorted to ground or to each other. This would cause the decks protction circuit to engage and you would have the exact symptoms you are describing. Second go into the menu of the deck and see if the "power IC" reads off. If so switch to on.

Thanks. I didn't realize there was a protection on the deck. I'll go check that right now, and I've also gotta remember how to get to the menu that has the Power IC settings. Thanks.

Just made sure Power IC was on, so the deck is set to send power. I checked all of the wiring and connections at and near all speakers, and it's all good. It is possible that wiring in the dash got jostled, but I can't tear apart half my dash right now, so it'll have to wait.
I know I'm addicted to car audio. My drivers side door doesn't even open yet I have to put my system back in...
