I wanted to know if a 1990 Lincoln Town Car has any tricks or difficulties when installing an aftermarket stereo. Is there a factory amplifier in this car? Any type of help will be useful. Thanks!!!

Do these cars have a built in amplifier? Does an aftermarket stereo have a straight install? Please let me know with any type of information.

According to the metra guide, you will need the 70-1770 harness and it does not indicate that the car is factory amplified. It recommends the proper kit as well.

There sometimes is an amp in these old Lincoln's in one of the rear quarter panels.  If you don't have any existing problems with noise (left or right channels staticy, etc.), you can just power up the factory amp.
