An amp that will provide roughly the same rms requirements of the sub (500-1000 watts rms) and it must be capable of handling the ohm load the sub presents which will either be a svc 4 ohm load or a dvc 4.

There is no specific type of amplifier that you need to use. Everybody has there favorite brands. Make sure you choose the right wattage though. Don't wanna blow that subwoofer up! That sub would sound nice with an 800watt amp of your choice of brand name. You might just wanna keep it with the same company and go with an MTX amp. The Thunder 9500 can handle up to 1000 watts but be careful...thats max power and not meant for continuous usage...

Preferably a mono class "d" amp in the 500-1000 watt range. Preferably one with built in low pass filter and subsonic filter. Hope this helps.

the rms on a 12" 9500 is 750-1000, and the max is 2000 but ive heard more has been pushed and hasnt done anything....i have one 10" 9500 in a civic and i have a alpine M-605 thats pushing 640 rms and it is LOUD, its the just about the same as my friends 2 12" kicker solo baric L7's in the exact same car....so id say go get the alpine M-1005 or something that pushes between 850 and 950 RMS, and make sure you get a brand name, kicker, memphis, pheonix gold, alpine, dont get a kenwood i had a supposdly 850 rms kenwood and couldnt handle the sub.....get some reputable, i promise you will get what you pay for....DONT GO CHEAP
