I have been looking a getting a new amp but I have seen both 12v and 14.4v what is the differance? Can I hook up a 14.4v to my 12v system or do I need something special. Would I need a capasitor, a new batter that puts out 14.4v or would an new batter run my car. I myself have not seen a 14.4v batter this is why I am confused.

Thank You

14.4 is your alt. voltage when car is running, you need that higher voltage to charge the battery, the amp will be fine in your car
