Hello fellas, I have a questin hope you may help !

I  have 2 amps, (Rockford fosgate mod 500x, 4 channel, 500 watts rms and Alpine MRP-F250, 4 channel,40 watts rms per channel)

Will be ok  if I hooke up a distribution block ( one in 4GA and 2 outs 8GA)???

This connection would be as follows:  4GA cable from positive pole of battery (a distance no more that 1 ft)  to distr. block  and then the two 8GA lines to each amp...is this right???Obviously the distr. block must have the proper fuse in it for each amplifier....

Please somebody confirm if I am correct!!!

Thanks !!!

Mario.

yeah that will work or you can run the 4 guage to the rear and then add the dist block. but if you do that then be sure to put a fuse under hood to cover both amps just for protection.

If the amps have built in fuses then there is no need for a fused distro block. Even then, run the 4 gauge line from the battery into the area where the amps are. To me it sounds as though you wanted to put a distro block under the hood. Is the battery in the rear of the car where the amps are by chance? If so, run the amps power lines direct to that battery.
