What DD sub would you reccomend puttin on the 97.3. i am thinking of eather 2 10s or 2 12s. i will be putting one 97.3 on each. should be about 1500 watts per sub. i am looking to get 150db give or take a little. this will be going into a 1997 hyundai sonata.  i was told the 3500 DD will work..  i have never ran a DD product and have no knolage of there products.

they are very very expensive first off, but thew 3500's are very good or the money but if you can afford them go with the 9500's      they will be in the price range of 450-750 a sub though!!!!

Did somebody say DD! LOL With no more power than you are going to be running per sub, 2 3500 series woofers would work fine if you are on  a budget. If not, get 2 9500 series woofers. That way if you decide to drop a couple of  orion 2500ds' in later you will already have the subs to handle them. Or you could just buy 2 audioque HD12s'. for about the same price as 1 9512 DD woofer.  You get the sq of a 3500 series and almost as much power handling as a 9500series DD. Not to mention  the fact that they are handmade in the US by DD, and offer the same warranty and upgrade program. Go to www.audioque.com to check them out.

the alternator upgrade goes without saying..  LOL these amp draw 100 to 200 amps each..  and im going to have 2 of them plus the 97.1.   i have had a few systems with the orion beast..      the price of the sub is no problemm  i was looking to get the 9500s but was told my a buddy that has a worked with the dd subs before (oo man all you need is 3500s) i just wanted to get some other input on that..    i would like to have a total of 4 97.3s 2 on each sub..  but at this time all i am can find is 2 97.3.   its costing me a arm and leg to track this stuff down..   but im a man on a mission LOL

Good luck man. With that kind of power, and in the proper enclosure, those 9500s' will sound real nice.posted_image

With a modded hk4000d at 15.5volts I run about 3990 watts @ 2ohms for daily and closer to 5000@ .5 ohms for comps. My box is 5.5 cubes net with a removable port. I run a port tuned to 35hz for daily and a [ort tuned to 55hz for comps. From the tests I've done, the 9500s' like a big box, but no more than 7 cubes net. They also like about 20-30 square inches of port  per cubic foot.

What size sub are you running... i mean if that is the case i can just get one sub with a big ported box and put my 2 97.3s on the single sub. what kind of mod have you done to the amp?

i was leaning towards 10s so that i could have 2 subs 20inches of speaker displacemnet..   i have the room for a single 15

thanks for you input bro<>function PrivoxyWindowOpen(a, b, c){return(window.open(a, b, c));}

I'm running 1 9515f series woofer (15") I removed the impedance protection from the amp so I can drop the ohm load to .5 ohms and not shut down for competing. If you have enough room to build the proper sized enclosure for 2 10" woofers I would go that route since you will have more cone area. If you don't however, 1 9515 in the right enclosure will get very loud! It all depends on how much space you have to work with in your vehicle.
