im trying to find the wiring info on a 2005 chevy impala and where can i install the remote wire for my amp when the stock head unit

Radio 12v	orange	+	radio harness
Radio Ground	black	-	radio harness
Radio Ignition	(Class 2 Serial Data)
Radio Illumination	gray (dimmer)	+	radio harness
Factory Amp Turn-on	same as power antenna wire
Power Antenna	white	+	radio harness
LF Speaker +/-	tan - gray	+,-	radio harness
RF Speaker +/-	lt. green - dk. green	+,-	radio harness
LR Speaker +/-	brown - yellow	+,-	radio harness
RR Speaker +/-	dk. blue - lt. blue	+,-	radio harness

i'm trying to install a Kenwood KDC425M in my impala and I used a 2003 sunfire wiring harness (had this radio in that car working perfectly) and it matched the big harness but there was a small black connector that came out of the back of the factory radio that stays with the car and I have no match for that connector and I have no power to my head unit. The little black connector only has 2 wires going to it and I have no idea what they are for. Any suggestions/answers would be greatly appreciated!

There isn't a ignition feed to the factory headunit. It uses data to turn on. You need a radio delete module that retains the integrity of the radio after removing it and it will give you a switched ignition wire to hook to the aftermarket radio. The extra plug for the factory radio may be for Onstar audio. The radio delete module will take care of this and retain chimes too.

ok! where can I get a radio delete module and how much does it generally cost? Also what is the best way to run an ignition feed for my car?

Your stereo shop should have the module you need to keep the factory chimes and such. This will also give you a switched wire so you won't have to run one yourself.
