My truck battery is 4+ years old... It is OEM ---- I was thinking of upgrading it just because of its age........ Will a new battery have any effect on the performance of my amps? I have 2 JL audio amps..... Or is that all fed by the altenator and the battery doesn't have much input......

Thanks for any help

tim

if a battery has a higher output amperage your altenator will be working less to keep it charged if you stereo draws alot of power, kinda like adding a capacitor in the system.

Huh?  No, a higher power battery can put a bigger load on your alternator, but not much.
