well i mean this one guy i kno uses the positive side of his battery and jus hooks the wire to that. n then i bought a amp kit that showed a battery terminal. so i was jus confused. soooo, is "scosche" a good brand or not? ------------- wat it do?

I think you're referring to a ring terminal, which bolts to the battery terminal. If I understand you correctly, your buddy just shoved the loose end of wire into the factory battery clamp and tightened it down. That's not the right way to do it. You should crimp a connector (ring terminal) onto the end of the wire and connect it that way. Once it's crimped on there, if you want to solder it as well you can, but don't have to do so.
