Does anyone sell / install both Diamond and JL or have a lot of experience with both? Reason being is that I have been looking at some of Diamond's stuff and (according to internet and magazine reviews), Diamond appears to offer some good quality stuff at a decent price. By decent, I mean less than JL. Are Diamonds products comparable to JL in quality, sound, warranty, reliablity, etc.? I need info on amps, speakers, and subwoofers by Diamond if anyone can help. Thanks
OMG okay dude relax on the 40 threads ....if ur asking all these questions are you aren't going to notice a difference between this equipment anyway.
Didn't we discuss this in your original "Thoughts on JL Audio" thread?
Look, JL makes some *really* great stuff. There is a reason they occupy the price point and industry niche that they do.
Now:
-Diamond does *not* produce amps of the quality of JL's 'slash' series. Only the D9 series amplifiers can stand up to the JL's in terms of signal strength and cleanliness, but not in terms of the on-board xovers.. These JL amps are retarded awesome. I can't stress that enough. I'd trade mine for a 300/4 and a 500/1 in a half a second.
-Yes, Diamond does offer quality stuff and at a slightly lower price point that JL. So does JBL and Eclipse and Infinity and Rockford and......
-No, thier loudspeakers are not any better or worse, save a bit different to a discerening ear. You should go out and listen to some.
..If you really expect to get some quality stuff, expect to spend some real money..
