i recently traded my PSP with many accories for some car audio, which conists of te following earthquake PHD2000W amp, (2)TremorXR-12 subs, and one of earthquakes amp wiring kits.i would like to know if a Earthquake PHD2000W amp would over power 2 Earthquake TremorXR-12's?

heres the specs thier site lists.

Amps don't break speakers or overpower speakers.  Idiots do.

Turn the gain down a bit and learn what clipping sounds like.  Don't clip the amplifier.  You'll be fine.

If it is a monoblock amp, why would there be a 4 ohm stereo rating? i am guessing that is a typ-o and they mean 4 ohm mono. Any way since you have two 8 ohm subs you will be running a 4 ohm load over all, which the amp claims 500 watts, that means 250 watts to each sub. The rating of the sub is 800 which is probably max rating, so more like around 400 watts RMS. In this case, You will not be overpowering the subs at these ratings.
