Hi there,

I have just bought myself a Kenwood kac-9152d monoblock amp, which I am hopefully going to wire into my car at the weekend (weather dependant). I have a few things I am wanting to make sure I am correct on before I start.

I am running a set of Audiobahn AW1571T subs in a twin 15" box off of this amp & I currently have them wired into the box in a Parallel configuration giving me a 1ohm output to the amp, but for a monoblock amp it has two sets of positive & negative terminals, will my current wiring be fine or will I need to wire the subs to use all terminals on the amp?

Another question I have is about the order in which to connect the wires to the amp, I know you disconnect the negative terminal from the battery but then do I wire the power cable into both the battery & amp then the earth? Soz if this is a stupid question, always been a bit of a cowboy when wiring amps before.

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Regards
RichieW

Wire it exactly the way you have it, the amp is one ohm stable. The two sets of terminals are paralleled inside the amp. There are two sets so you can use larger gauge speaker wire. I always connect power to an amp last.
