I have a stock 01 explorer sport trac. I wanted to hook my alpine amp up to the stock cd player so i bought a Peripheral P50 line output converter. I hooked it up behind my cd player to the positive and negative front door speakers right before they go into the back of the cd player. all of the wires are hooked up right. I tied a wire into the accessory wire at the back of the cd player and when i went to hook it up to my amp it sparked on something and i noticed that my girlfriend gad turned the key over. I took the key out of the ignition and finished wiring it up. When i was finished wiring i turned the key over and the cd player, dash lights, power windows, windshield wippers and my brand new alpine amp would not come on. I checked all of the fuses under the hood and in the fuse panel and they are all fine. The only thing i didnt check is the big black fuses under the hood. can anybody tell me what is wrong?

You blew a fuse. If the key was turned on, and that wire touched something metal, that would cause a fuse to blow. Check them again, this time with a meter.

ok thanks for the tip that fixed that problem. I checked them and u were right, blown fuse but... I changed that fuse and checked the the rest and some of them wont light up the meter even when i replace them with new fuses, like there is no power running to them. And my truck wont crank up, when i turn the key over all of my lights come on amp and all. I put a charge on the battery thinking that could be my only problem but it still wont crank. The only thing I replaced is that blown fuse. Haha what have I done this time?
