Since the tax refund is almost here I need a new system. I'm thinking a 3-way setup with Usher 9950c-15's, CSS WR125s's, and either 1 pair of Adire Extremis's or 2. The sub will be the new RE 15" XXX ported around 30-34hz. All my past systems have never had a good midbass punch, but I'm starting to wonder if 2 pair would be overkill. I'm thinking of running them off a JBL PX600.2 and the tweets and mids off a PX300.4 all through a DQXS. I'm holding out for the 4ohm versions of the Extremis's so I can parallel them to get 2ohms. Thanks in advance for any and all help.

So basically you are planning to put Exodus LCR's in your car?  Wow.  Where do you live, as if you're in the Seattle area there are folks at Adire that would love to see it, and may indeed help you plan it.  They may also make you a great deal on a matching Adire XBL2 subwoofer rather than that RE driver.

Well that sounds great, but I live in Oklahoma. I will still take a lot of pictures of the process and the final product and post them. Do you think that 4 of them would be too much? I really do want a strong midbass presence. I know the Adire subs are good, but this new RE is going to be insane. Thanks for your reply. By the way if you just happen to talk to any of those guys at Adire and they happen to have some tips or input I would love to hear it.

Well I sent them a reply like you said so I guess I'll wait and see what they say. One more thing, if I do go with 2 pair of extremis's could I lower the tuning freq of the sub box to around 27-28hz?

You can also ask questions about Adire products HERE, the Official Adire Audio Forum.

I recommend you build the tuning frequency of the sub box at whatever is optimal for the woofer you use.  posted_image

I think I've made the setup a little more simple. Instead of 2 amps and a DQXS I'm going to use a Zapco DC650.6 to run the everything but the sub. It's completely digitally controled which will allow me to adjust gain, input mode, x-over mode:HP-LP-BP, x-over slope, Q-bass eq, bass gain, and time delay: both time and distance all from a computer. I'm guessing these amps are fairly new since Zapco doesn't have them on their website. Anyone heard anything about these?
