Whats involved in removing the factory (LX) radio....I don't want to break anything...any help is appreciated. I have the dash piece from a DX ordered. I am going to install a new sound system. Haven't decided on the head, but the speaks will be Morel Hybrid ovation 6. Amp, Zapco DC650.6 Sub..Zapco R12B
Thanks again for any help on the radio removal...

I have, it's not the radio, it's most of the dash! Two screws under the radio come out first. Then it's clips all the way around the steering wheel to the AC ducts on the far left, basically the entire dash. I'm interested on how you are going to install a new HU by using the DX dash. Is it differant then the LX or EX dash?

There is no such thing as free installation!
go to https://www.collegehillshonda.com/ and look at the radios you can buy there and open up the pdf files for installion and it shows you how to remove the dash pieces to remove the radio.also go the 8th gen civic forum site and there are pics by people who have done it.good luck.

The DX comes with NO RADIO.....it uses a standard dash kit and harness adapter, simple install. The dash trim is the same trim that comes on the EX with nav. A double din opening....looks cool too!
