I've got a 2004 Mazda 6 In the shop and if anyone know's it's not exactly installer friendly when it comes to aftermarket head units. I am having trouble figuring out what to do with the control panel. Does anyone know of any modules that I can plug into it. Or I was also thinking about using the satalite radio to control the display. I need suggestions please.

What exactly are you wanting here. Are you trying to keep the factory display active when replacing the head unit or what? I just didnt really understand

Now I could be wrong here but I think that Metra makes a integration kit that gives you a dash kit and a small electronic box that lets you retain the factory display for non radio functions. Not sure on that one though. If not its probally possible to pull the board out of the factory radio and plug it in and bury it in the dash, then you would just need to run new wires for the new head unit.
