Hello, I'm looking to replace my Quart Qm 6" comp. set in a 04' Tahoe. The midbass just isn't there. Amp is a Zapco C2k-6.0 A few members have suggested CDT has great M/B. Looking at CDT sets but I don't know anything about the brand. $$$ start from $100 to $1500.

Tried a pair of Morel Elate 6 but still the M/B just didn't happen. The midrange was incredible! Kept the MD-23 Tweeters. The doors are Dynamat Extremed.

I would short list Focal 165V2 or 165 K2P right away if you want midbass, ensure that your doors also have been sound deadened on both the inner and outer skins to help improve midbass response.

Thanks Forbidden, I have been doing some research and the Focal's are 3.25" deep. The max I think is 2.85". The
bottom of the window is right behind the top of the speaker when it is all the way down.
