Subject: Aux in wiring, new toyota head units?

Anyone know the pin connector location or color code for the wires leading to the aux in on stock head units. As an example, Scion 06 models have aux plug-in in the console for mp3 or other devices.
I want to access the input at or near the head.
Any help would be appreciated
thanks in advance

Contact a company called Vaistech, they make a whole line of I-Pod and Aux inputs for late model Toyota products.

thanks. I will email them as well.

Seems all I need is the plug to the head with an end for an aux input. Got to be someone with an end somewhere.

not quite that simple.... you need some type of data protocol to tell the OEM radio to "open that gate" and allow an aux signal thru.....

Shucks.
I thought that since the 06 had an aux input on the console it would was simply a line in to the head. I thought the head served as the interface. Did not know there was a interface in between on the stock unit.
thanks

it may be programmed "open"                 i was thinking of the aux ports on most OEM radios that are really for a disc changer....
