What is the correct price range for a Alpine swx-1242D . Crutchfield shows the item for over 500.00 and Etronics has it for 249.00,is the etronics sub a refurbished sub.Or should i just go down to a local stereo shop and have to bargain my price , i hate that

Go to the local audio shop and buy from them....see if you can haggle them down a lil bit maybe to 400 or so because there is ALOT of margin in those speakers. But definatly buy from your local audio shops, they are alot more willing to help you then an internet site and u will get your warrentys if they are certified to sell Alpine.
