is an amp that powerful too much for my house?(i want it for a car sub in my room, the guy on SSA said itll trip the circuit breaker everytime the bass hits. is the only way to solve that is to install a seperate circuit breaker?

thanks, VJ.

It says it draws just under 10 amps at 120 volts, if the breaker on the circuit is higher than 10 amps and the other plugs on the circuit aren't already overloaded, then you should be fine.

I don't think the rest of your family will like it too much.  But at least you've got the start of some pro gear with that amplifier, in case you want to start up a karaoke gig or DJ or something.

Car audio subs generally make bad home theatre subs because they tend to have too high an fs and Qts.  Plus car subs tend to be very inefficient.  But there are of course exceptions.  What speaker are yu thinking of using?

That's in the specifications, you have to click on the separate PDF.  Under power supply/ power consumption.

alpine guy- this is another thought of what i may do. im getting components for in my explorer, and i wanna take the 4 pioneer coaxiles i have, build 4 6x8 boxes, and put em in my room, running off my stereo receiver. then the amp will be hooked to the reciever(i think), and the sub hooked to the amp. and my reciever is already hooked to my PC, which is how i play my music.

DYohn- will it make a bad sub for music, or just watching movies? im not gonna use it to watch movies...just rap music

thanks for all your help guys

About 2 weeks ago i had a customer come in and just not want to pay the prices of a home subwoofer with an amp that he didnt need. So i talked him into a 12w6v2d4. he liked it so much he came back up to the store just to tell me how well it worked for him. And he might be back to get another. Ahhh feels good to help people and make money at the same time.
