im planning to install different speakers on a 2004 nissan maxima id like to know what im goin to need to be able to install them as far as cables and adapters go ive installed amps,cd players but never speakers like the ones that go on the doors and the ones behind the backseat on the backpanel. any info will help because im lost :)

The easiest thing for you to do would be to purchase your new speakers from a local shop who can install them for you, or hire an installer from your area.  If you're looking for basic speaker size info, etc. Crutchfield often has good information.  But seriously, if you are "lost" then perhaps you should get some hands-on help from a pro in your area.  posted_image

but if i do that then i will never learn how to and im planning to do that in the future alot because i really like the way the auto sound works and the feeing you get whe you accomplish something you though was goin to be hard to do.

Yes, you're right.  Learning by doing is a good thing.  It's still a good idea to visit your local installer shop.  They'll be able to help you choose speakers that will drop into the OEM mounting locations in your car and can probably help get you started with panel removal tips (assuming you purchase the speakers from them and tell them you want to install them yourself.)  There may also be speaker adapter harnesses for your car to make the plug-in simpler, not sure about your Lexus.
