i just want to now if there is a way that i can change the nissan bose cd player to and aftermarket flip out dvd player but still be able to change song and lower/raise the volume from the controls in the steering wheel with the aftermarket cd/ dvd player.

Check out Pacific Accessory Corp They have a wide selection of steering wheel interfaces. The SWI-X should work for you, provided that you buy a supported head unit.
