I'm trying to find a good 1 ohm stable amp for under $350 for a friend of mine.  the amp needs to be able to push three sony xplode 10's rated for 300 watts rms a piece ran in parallel at 1.34 ohms.  the sub a 4 ohm single voice coil.  he doesn't need them to be super spl, cause there going in the back of his camaro, but they do need to be pushed pretty good.

I believe some of the older US amps were one ohm stable.

I got a Phoenix Gold, Xenon series amp, which creates same output through any impedance load 1 through 4. the mono amps are available in 400 600 or 1200 watts for very good prices, check them out. Also obviously the JL amps 500 and 1000/1 have came down in price alot.

$350 for one amp that is 1 ohm stable is going to be pretty easy find nowadays, technology is getting cheaper by the day, and more and more 1 ohm stable amps are appearing. Good luck with the search.

Since when is it possible to run ONE mono amplifier to THREE subs at one ohm stable? How is it even possible to run three speakers period to a mono amp? I can see two speakers, but three?

Remeber you present a load that is higher than one ohm to a one ohm stable amp, like 1.5 ohms or 1.7. So it is very possible

my question is are the sony woofers 6ohm dvc? and my other question is why the hell would you want to run any amp down to a 1 ohm final impedance? But i live in Arizona and they get hotter than hell without the impedance helping the amps demise along.

The subs he's getting are from me and I had them ran like that.  I had them hooked up to an alphasonik amp, but i won't sell it cause of the price I got it for.  This amp has never overheated on me, it barley even gets hot.  and I had it set up to run 1 ohm.  since I have the subs ran the way they are, there at a 1.34444 ohm load, and you have to run a one ohm stable amp or the amp will over heat.

If you never had a problem with them, then consider yourself lucky. Don't push your luck and sell them for the profit you stated. There is so many other brands to choose from, and not all are priced high. Choose one and then enjoy the beats!!

I got two alphasonik 800 series 12", that I really like.  Haven't had any proplems yet, got them for real cheap to.  I wanted something to get somthing that would take up less space so I went with the 12"s.
