Soon I'll be installing a stereo in my car for the 3rd time (1st stereo stolen; 2nd one went bad). My car wiring harness is long gone so I've been stripping and crimping or soldering my wires. I still have a fair amount of wire but I don't want to cut anything anymore. Does anyone know of a terminal or connector that would help me?

You can use the bullet style connectors or the male and female versions of these Both suggestions I have made can lead to higher failure rates as soldering or butt connectors are the best to use. -------------

see if you can go to a junk yard, and rip a old harness out of the same car, solder that up, for the LAST time, then just buy the adapters for this head unit, and if there are any upgrades in the future? just an idea, probly be cheap and easy for future.

The bullets ( male, and female) make a good, secure connection. It takes a lot to pull these apart. Don't improvise on the crimper...use a real one. ------------- Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.

And if this route is taken, make sure that you crimp the female connectors to the constant and switched wires coming from the car, so in the future if you do remove the deck you can avoid shorting any wires out. -------------

Well I took kirktcashalini's advice to a certain extent. I did a little searching for the harness online and Metra actually offers the male and female connectors for my car. I've already ordered both and I'll just solder the wires and not worry about it anymore.
