I am connecting a CD Changer to a 1999 Taurus with the mfg's original radio.  I have located a couple points to get 12V always, but cannot find the 12V supply that is on only when ignition is on (ACC).  Where can I get this? Thanks.

On your vehicle you can find this wire at the ignition switch harness.  It will be a BLACK/ Light Green Wire under the driver side dash (in the ignition switch harness).  Attach to that wire and you should be fine.  Good luck.   Brian

Thanks. Do you mean black or green, or black and green striped?  I see a black wire coming from the key switch that goes into a connector and is light green on the other side.  But I see no black and green striped wires.

Thanks

The wire you need is a Black wire with a  light green stripe.  Always double check the information given  with a meter.   That is the color they say in my info but they have been wrong before.  It should be afairly large wire. Maybe 14 gauge to 10 gauge.  Give it  another look.  You might have to slit the flex loom or tape open to see it.  The wire you arelooking for always seems to be in the middle.   Good luck.  Brian

Thanks. I found the wire.  It is just like you said.  I was looking in the wrong place.  The wire comes from a junction box at the base of the steering column.  Thanks for the help.
