1990 300zx w/bose installed jvc kdlx111 with peripheral nisah4 interface, works fine until i turn on the head lights, i get a buzz sound from the speakers.  made sure the ground was good.

alternater noise.  Go to radio shack and get a transducer.  They will know what i mean.  Tell them your problem

Also try moving the interface away from any power wires.  They will induce engine noise into the cars audio system very easily.  Maybe that will help.  Brian

would I get alternator noise with the engine not running?   I'll reposition the interface and try it..

No you wont.  If you cut your headlights on with the engine off and have noise.  I woul say the interface is too close to power wires.  Do have enough length to leave it hooked up and move it away from the power wires?  If so try it and see if it helps.  If so try to move it.  Good luck.  Brian
