distribution block for cap. or not?

Hello, I am installing a 2f capacitor in my system (new to car stereo somewhat) and I was wondering if I needed to use a distribution block if i was only using one capacitor to one amp? or could i just wire the power from the battery to the capacitor and from the capacitor directly to the amplifier?....also do I need a fuse between the capacitor and the amp?

well i would have a fuse somwhere close to the amp incase of any melt down problems . also have a curcit breaker or real big fuse in the front of the vehicle .

Yea... I have a fuse near the battery but you suggest one inbetween the cap and the amp?

also no ideas on the distrib block?

No distro is needed because the power is a direct line to one amp. The cap is wired parallel in that power line just before the amp. Use a short length of visible wire between the cap and the amp and you can leave that small section unfused if the cap is directly next to the amp. If that section of wire is partially hidden, contacts the chassis, or the cap is away from the amp, fuse the wire to its capacity (same as the main fuse). This is a continuation of the main power wire, so it is the same gauge as the main power wire, and same gauge as the ground. Ground the cap to chassis to a point near the ground point of the amp, although some schools of thought say to ground cap to amp, then ground amp to chassis.
