I own a 1991 honda prelude si and i just purchased some 6-1/2" speakers for my front doors. I looked for holes for the screws but I cant find any and I cant find any way to install them so if you can please explain how to install them then that would be great.

Use a drill with a phillips bit and some self tapping screws.  If you can get a bit holder with a sleeve that slides down over the screws, that would be great.  This will help prevent the drill from slipping and punching a hole in the speaker.  Alternatively, you hold the speaker up and mark your holes.  Then remove the speaker and drill them.

Roll down the window and check for clearance.  If you need to, you can cut some spacers out of wood, or you can check Best Buy or Circuit City for some plastic spacers.

No problem.  One thing I forgot to mention.  You must also make sure the speaker will clear the door stopper (the piece in the door jamb that goes in the door as it closes).  Otherwise, when you close the door, you run the risk of it popping the speaker out.

I believe you are missing the factory plastic speaker mount. Easier job if you buy a set from Honda. These should have holes to line up with your 6.5" holes. Depending on your magnet size you might have to cut out the rain guard.

DO you have your door panels off? I have a 88 and it is the same design. Yes there are plastic spacers that fit inbetween the speaker and the door.

Well i cannot seem to find them on any of the Honda part sites either.

Go here www.preludepower.com and they have a wanted section. I'm sure someone will have them cheap. That site is also amazing for questions about your car.
