My friend just bought a brand new power acoustik 1200 watt gothic series amplifier. I did some searching in the forum and found a similar problem, but the thread was closed, it plays for a few songs and shuts off. Hes running two 12" audiobahn AW121T's and one Jensen Xs1212. They are all 4 0hm and im just wondering on some suggestions on how to make it quit shutting off, i figured it was that the amp couldnt draw enough amps because his ground s to small. Also i would like to know the best way to wire up three subs to that one amp, ANY help is greatly appreciated.

What are the specs for the amp?  Also when you say the ground is too small...  What do you mean?  You could have a multitude of problems including amplifier load issues and overheating.

That's my opinion. Take it, leave it, or correct me.

unless its a class D amp, its 4 ohm mono - 2 ohm stereo.

OV2-1200, and hes got all three subs bridged. The ground wire is like 8 gauge and over 3 feet long, andhis power wire is 4 gauge. It hits pretty hard until it shuts off, thanks a lot guys

sounds like it's seeing about a 1 ohm load... try to rewire/reconfigure it to see a 4 ohm load and you'll be good to go....

Yep, that's a 2-channel amplifier and it requires a minimum 4-ohm load when bridged.  You are overloading the amp.  You cannot operate three 4-ohm woofers off that amp.  Dump one of the woofers and then wire each of the remaining to its own channel, that's the best you can do.
