It is a 2003 malibu.  I am hooking up my stereo, and in the manual it says that everything will work, but I just need to hook up the acc/ign wire to the fuse box because for my car, that is how you have to do it.

You can use a module that retains the factory chimes and other functions that may be lost when you remove the factory radio.  This will also supply an accessory lead for the radio, but these units aren't cheap- ask your stereo shop.  I don't like fuse taps, because they can actually damage the connectors inside the fuse block.  If you're not using a module, I'd tap the thick brown wire at the ignition harness and fuse your wire.  Test the wires with a multimeter.
