hey guys, everyone in here has been helpful just by reading the post, but now i actauly have to ask a question...i am hooking up a sub amp in a 2001 ford expedition with a mach system.  there is a sub and a amp in the back, can i t tap the speaker (for the rca's) and remote off of the wires running to this amp? it seems to easy to do.....

If it has a factory sub, disconnect it, and wire a line out converter to the sub wires.  For the turn on, you can use the factory amp turn on to trigger a relay, since it's only 5 volts from the factory.  If you don't want to use a relay, connect your amp turn on to an accessory wire in the vehicle.
